About the Exhibition

The stately, neoclassicist Trevisini palace in Piran will take on a colorful semblance for four months. This new, prestigious exhibition space will host the brilliant works of art of the world’s greatest pop artists this summer, in the “SPLENDID POP” exhibition. Pop art, which first appeared in the United Kingdom, spread considerably in the late fifties in the USA, where artists depicted the universality and the consumerism of American society.

The works of Andy Warhol, Tom Wesselmann, Roy Lichtenstein, James Rosenquist, John Chamberlain and Robert Rauschemberg will be on display on the Slovenian coast till October 9th this year. Piran’s summer will be further enriched by a varied accompanying programme, inspired by Warhol’s Factory.
